it's in pretty good shape. top is badly weathered, but the graphics on the bottom are intact, thanks to the ugly stix!! gullwing pro's are good minus the paint missing. i'm stoked. gonna go up on the garage wall.

Ahh, my first pro deck from long ago- i think i had to scam some good grades in school to get mine- Was white, clear grip, flurecent pink rails, and i think purple and red wheels. Was the Sh*t back then- and if i remember right my pops did thought it was Sh*t too when he found out it was $96. Good thing i turned it into splinters over a mini ramp incident. [IMG] I think i had grecko(sico-stick?) stickers on mine. Good Find!

  15. yeah, he killed some girl. right before skating became an extreme sport. the trucks are gullwing pro's. the paints chipped, but there isn't too much grinding on them. my last set of phoenix 2's i ground down to the axle.
i can't believe this this is in such good shape. 1986 is the year on the copyright. i'm gonna hafta look up my old halfpipe plans i bought outta the back of thrasher!

  16. i still have my santa cruz slasher, that was the board on thrasher the movie, i think thats what made that vision so popular.

A couple months ago I found a vintage Lance Mountain sticking on top of a trash can, too. Weird. This one only had a front truck, and it was mounted backwards. Nice find.

I still have my stick from 89-90 Losi Skate Design (LSD) I break it out occassionally to see how bad I can hurt myself. You know it seems to hurt more when I fall now.

WOW man thats kinda crazy, not to hijack the post but I just got done watching a documentary on him about 15 minutes ago, with some interviews with the HAMBS own CAB. But growing up in vista a block from the courthouse in the apartments across the street from washington middle school on melrose I remember these guys. All the big name boarders of the time would do shoots there and shit. But anyway it was kinda funny how they talk about dealing with the enviroment and the changing times in North county late 80s early 90s it made me think of my best freinds that used to skate with me at washinton. Zack Moore and Cody Green. Who both passed due to heroin overdoses in 99 and 00. Not that it wasn't their own faults just wanted to tell other people about these two good guys that back in the days would do anthing for a friend. and I cant help think of them. they wernt famous or nothing just a couple skater punks tryin to survive. Anyway if ou read this far sorry bout the rant. Thanks. Drew

not to jump this post but does someone have a good pic of the art work from an early DogTown deck (70's). I have decided since I can notfind one, I am going to have one painted up to look like it for my garage wall.

I saved my board from my mom. After a garage sale she had, I was out in the garage and saw my Tony Hawk Claw with a piece of masking tape on it that said"$2.00". Bout shit myself. Independent trucks, mini rats wheels and schmitt stix. Luckily we live in the sticks and no one came to the sale.

You can check out Bulldog Skates for some pics. It's Wes Humpston's company, he's the one responsible or most of that art.
