Most of the guys on the HAMB know, I love the radical kustoms of the sixties. the new Bubble top kustom that Gary Fioto is driving this Kat krazy. I know that the majority of the HAMB probably won't like it, but the Kustom guys will. Can you imagine kruizen down the road in this wild bubble top. I'm surprised that I hadn't seen more pictures of his wild creation.

The following are some pics but I would like to see more pictures.

    Happy Trails,

    Mick

It looks like two cars hit head on and the *** ends stuck together...
I can appreciate the work that went into it though....

    That is a wild thing.

Edit- I've been staring at this car for two hours now. Seems that it'd rule even more if it didn't have the side skirts and peek-a-boo intake/carb. set up. Maybe just a little restraint?

    Anyway, it's cool.

  8. Where were those pics taken Mick? Has the car been out long? That's the first time I've seen it.

And I normally hate this game because I think it misses the point of a Cusom, but any guesses as to what it was before he started working on it?

Wow, that thing is really awesome looking. And i agree with you Mick, i really miss the kustom of the sixties, they were just so out there and futuristic, it's amazing how someone sat down and thought it up.

Oh my god! That car is awesome! Its one of the coolest cars ive ever seen. I saw it at the Fresno Autorama, and I stared at it for about 3 hours. My friend had a car in the show so I had to be there all weekend, and I have alot of pictures of the car. Its absolutely awesome.

  15. The bubble tops are cool. But I can tell you for a fact you won't want to ride in one very long. On a hot day its like a roadster multiply the effects of the sun and take away the breeze.

But they are way cool never the less.
    I love '60s style customs.

Yeah, definitely note worthy. It's more a sculpture than a car & in some respects is VERY 60's styled- but the 4 wheel skirts throw the whole thing off. The 60's were all about COOL WHEELS.

Can't even imagine how many hours went into the body of that thing. I don't even want to think about it. A ****ing herculean task for sure. With out the skirts, I'd probably love it.

Wild, wacky stuff. I can't even begin to imagine how much work went into that. Some things are super cool even if you don't wanna drive'em.

The car is beautiful the only thing I don't like is the bubble top. If it had a nice layed back bubbletop chevy roof it would look better

That thing is amazing. Over -the-top; like everything he builds. Wow,what can I say ????If there's a picture in the car dictionary next to "Radical Kustom" that should be it.

I'm so glad there are people like Mr. Fioto(spl?) that build over the top creations. This ride can easily be categorized as being "too much", but in my twisted mind's eye, this ride is an angelic 60's dream car/show rod with not so subtle hints of pure nasty hot rod. Yeah, like Ed Roth's stuff, only different. I dug that red pickup he did too.

The web site was sent to me from "Skip G" he said the pictures were taken at the Fresno Autorama. I don't know when the car was finished.

I was told riding in a bubble top would be hot, even if you ran the A/C all of the time. Sometimes its hard work being kool..

This weekend I'm going to dig throught my Custom Rodder magazines, I believe they had a project picture years ago.

I would like to hear more about the build?

    Happy Trails,

    Mick

Way cool looking car...it does look wierd with the front looking like the rear. But if you look at both end independently, the car has some real *****en lines. Nice work. :)

    I dig it - mostly.

I'm not usually a big fan of the crazy sixties show custom style, most of them were way over the top and hard on the eyes.

It's a hard genre to pull off well - adding all kinds of crazy, futuristic stuff and somehow getting it to all look cohesive. Most fall well short of eye pleasing. This one, I think is pretty cool - has a lot of nice lines considering how much is going on.

I especially like it from the front.

    oh my....

I just went back and noticed the side-on shot of the curly do dads on the side panels. Now those I think could have been styled a little better.

Ok... a lot better. Those are a little too Magic Kingdom Princess I think.

Other than that, I think it's a cool statement for THAT STYLE of custom.
