I love it. Wave and all. Those "Buck Rogers" thingies on the back KICK ***!

.....although, I wonder what it would look like with a Krazy lookin' Watson type panel paint job on the sides. I bet that would really change it.

wowsa, I cant believe how many people dont like it. I guess you need to see it in person??? It stole the show in Fresno. I dont know if thats saying much, but damn I love it. It just looks like the jetsons should own it. But I may have a strange taste for cars, I love it when people do something totally different. If you put normal fenders on it and chrome wheels, then it would be that much more like some other car. As it sits right now, its off the scale in imagination. anything less would be uncivilized.

I think the side profile looks like one of those racing car beds you buy for a 4 year old kid. The front and rear ends are a different story, very nice.

That car is the most awsome thing that has been built it a Loooooooooonggg time. It is a perfect representation of that style of Kustom.

    Wouldn't change a thing!

Wish I could have seen it in an indoor car show on the white background, the gr*** at Paso did not do it justice.

  5. EXACTLY! I stared at this car @ Paso for quite a while, the work is superb, that's not even the question, BUT I think he should have stopped a few dozen kustom tricks before he did. That's my $.02

Just thought I'd let you know that I'm working on a website for Gary and the prototype is up and running at www.chopitkustom.com. This page is just something I did to see how it all works. The next one will be more photo intense.

    Hey Skip G,

KOOL website!!! I love the build pictures on the Bubbletop.
I love the angle of the picture below because it shows off the wild
body lines. It would be kool to get some pictures together with the "Lil Sahara." Imagine those two sleds together is going to shut me down for awhile.

    Happy Trails,

    Mick

Is he referring to the size of the bubble or the size of the land yacht it is attached to?

I, for one, don't believe it is the size of your bubble that matters. It is how you use it.

Fritz, I went to the neverland ranch, and all I got do to was blow bubbles.

Not to hijack the thread but.

You guys who talk about how hot it is to drive a bubble top know from whence you speak.

In the 60's, the company I worked for owned the Daryl Starbird/Dave Puhl/**** Scully bubble top 58 TBird "The Electra". We had Dave Puhl redo it and had it painted candy red. As the low man on the totem pole it was my job to drive it in parades. That Sumn***** had no air and even with the top partially open you could only stand to be in it for 1/2 hour if the sun was really shining.

Don't ever want to do that again. The car is in New Jersy now and owned by a body shop guy who has had it for almost 10 years. He claims that he is going to start on the restoration this year. I hope he does as I'd like to see it again. See it mind you not drive it.

    B:rolleyes:B

  20. That's a lot of work, but every time I look at it I hear the theme from the "Jetsons" cartoon playing from inside my head.

No infomercials...just information. If this bothers you so ****ing much, don't read it. Gary is my neighbor and I, for one, think he's a fantastic body man with a fantastic car and I'm just responding to requests from others to see more of the car. End of story.

I cried myself to sleep last night mike I can't belive you'd talk to me like that i thought we were freinds after all that s****ing and light petting. Don't ever get me mixed up with fritz again that dudes just plain gay. I don't care what plow and fritz say I love chopit's stuff this car is super ****ing cool, but I agree with everyone else the front wheels should be exposed. His 53 chevy the gold one is in my top five cars, but I'm partial to the car plus what the **** do I know. I don't have to hold Aarons pecker when he pees I just like too. Anyways gotta go to the drags, see ya later honky! Hows about more pics of that chopped chevy for me? How's the truck comming for the little guy?

as for the comments about the front wheels needing to be exposed. i'm not the biggest fan of the "waves" but i see the reason for them and the reason the front wheels are covered. (i ***ume) it is suppose to make it look like the car is floating. like it is a huver car or something. ever see the movie "the 5th elements" with Bruce Willis??? i think he's going for that sorta look. there have been lots of other movies with 50s styled futuristic flying cars. i suspect Garry likes that look. the rear of the green Merc he did looks VERY much like something from one of those movies too. i think it's cool.

:D :D you Illinoiz boyz are TOO MUCH!! :D

Frizby: "the neighbor kids" truck is coming. slower now that i'm back to work and have my compressor back up and runnin. i've been workin on my 47 Chevy a little. it's rough getting back into the swing of getting up at 5am and workin all day when you spent the entire summer sleepin in and layin around the house. we'll prolly work on his and mine a little this weekend.

do you mean Donzie's chopped Chevy?? do a search for "the turd" and you should find all you'll ever need and more. it MIGHT be in the Tech section.
