1952-59 Ford Gas Cap problem

I'm trying to locate a new gas cap for my '56. Thought I had one from Mac's but it doesn't fit. I pulled out my Ford parts book and sure enough there are 2 different ones for mid 56 Fords, vented and non-vented. (my tank is vented but not the cap). I need the non-vented cap, Ford # is B9A-9030-A. Got the B9A-9030-C (vented) but as noted in the book the non-vented one has a deeper lock tab on it. I tried Stant, NAPA, Parts Plus... so far nobody lists a non-vent cap. Does anyone know where I might find one?

I bought this one a month ago it isnt vented and states it will fit your year.

Yup, that sure looks like it. I haven't heard of that company before, I usually use Carpentar, Macs or Obsolete Cl***ic Parts in OK City. Thanks!, I'll order one from them.

I got one from Obsolete Parts in a locking cap $10.95 + shipping the part # you need for the deep set cap is C4RZ-9030-C, their item # P09-15060-130 this right off my receipt.

 

They are a local company here. I have bought quite a few parts from them and have been pleased so far. The parts I have found cheaper other places they have usually beat when asked if they will match it.

 

I downloaded their parts book and will print out a copy of it (Concours). There's a big swapmeet coming up this weekend. I'll see if I can find one there. If not I'll be ordering one or the other, locking or not. Thanks again. Ron
