most GMs in the 70's-80's. I've owned several Impalas of that era & they had them.

  5. Lots of choices... In the Ford line, body-mounted '55-59 Ford and '67-73 Cougar, or '66-69 Fairlane/Torino for bumper-mounted units. Some more 'hidden' units that could have a plate bracket attached '64-65 Comet, '65 Fairlane, 70s Torino/Montego/LTDII/ Elite...

My first car was a '73 Buick LeSabre. That had one. The fill neck isn't mounted to the bumper, it's just on the tank and comes up behind the license plate.

  11. Just type "fuel door license plate" into EBAY search and you will have hundreds of originals and repops from $5 and up to choose from.

    Early 60's Caddys had them.

Lots of choices as others said but there are some considerations you need to be aware of. Most of those were large cars and the gas tanks were under the trunk floor and the fill cap was maybe two feet above the tank. In my AMC car the filler neck was nearly level with the tank and when I launched it hard the slosh knocked the cap off and I puked about five gallons of gas on the starting line. It now has a fuel cell with the fill tube going to a Cobra type flip up cap on the fender where the side marker light used to be.
