Gas gauge help

    Finally got all of the other bugs worked out, and got the car running good, got it inspected, etc; now my SW gas gauge stopped working.

    New sender (installed last year), good ground,(ran a new wire just now) and with the gauge getting power and grounded on the other post it reads full.

    Cannot get anything other than a empty reading, no flicker no nothing.

    took the float out and it is not full of gas and moves freely...
    I am getting 12v to the gauge.

    The gauge sender is a variable resistor, check it out of the tank and clipped to the gauge. Check with power to the gauge, you should have a change on the gauge as you move the float. Could be you have the wrong sender for the SW gauge. The FOGGER

    It is a SW sender, and I should have said the gauge worked fine until a day or so ago...
