Gas mileage on a 235?

    215-60x15 BFG's=25.2 diameter.

    Howard's M4F cam and high compression, I think is a factor for mine.

    2500 at 70mph is a happy place to cruise. I don't have a vac gauge on it so can't help there, but the p/v springs are stock but the jetting is leaned out a lot to get a nice looking plug. The jets that were in the carbs gave me 15 mpg when I first was running the 2 B's.

    3.50 first gear Sag 4 speed has nice steps for 1-2-3 then a big gap to 4 th. works well with the 2.93 rear.

    300 mile range on a tank is really nice.

    16-18 with the 4.11 (highway) would be rather average, with 3.55 you could easily get 20 or more, carb/ign, etc set up right.

    I can get away with 2.73 gears because of my 26" tall 14" tires. It cruses at 2300RPM@65MPH with 13" of vacume. Seems to be its sweet spot.
