Hope Arkansas gas prices $1.95 per gallon can't imagine what the rest of the world must be paying. I'm going to go broke driving the 53 but atleast I'll look good sitting on the side of the road out of gas. [IMG]

.89 cents a litre here I don't know what that works out to in price per gallon but its friggen expensive

  3. anywhere from 1.889 to 1.979. My fiancee and I both drive each day to Topeka for work, probably 50 miles roundtrip. I get to work at 4:30a, she at 7:30a, so we can't carpool. Of course her daughter who's 17 feels that she has to come to town almost everyday. We're broke just buying fuel. Heck I'm looking to buy/trade for a cycle and go that route, and I haven't ridden one in probably 10 years. Has to be cool though.

We are at $1.849 here in S.A. One great thing about living here is everything is usually cheaper. Hell over 50% of the city is on some sort of government ***istance. Those coming into town tomorrow for the show, bring some extra gas cans to fill up before you leave. [IMG]

One place by me has regular for $1.98,mid grade $2.08,and high test $2.18 but his prices are always higher then everyone elses. This is the first time in my area that I remember it being over $2 a gallon. All this is just legal price gouging [IMG]. I'm done now, later plmczy

We're at around 80 PENCE a litre, which is just short of £4 per gallon. I reckon that adds up to about $7.....
There are loads of four-banger rods over here.

Got an email today asking everyone to not buy gas on the 19th just to send a message. Cost em like 1.6 billion for the day. Would work if most everyone did it. P*** it around to as many people as possible. I'll do my part. [IMG]

that might work for the 19th but then we'll all have to fill up on the 20th then not only will they make up the money lost on the 19th but they'll most likely hike it another half cent or two for the aggrevation. [IMG]

$2.17 @Gal reg last time I bought it.
There's a 76 sta. in Malibu charging $2.999 full serve premium now.
It was on the news... They said expect that price all over the southland by summer.

(I bet ya the highest prices are in the States that DIDN'T vote for Oil baron George Dubya in the last election.)

    My sob story?

    About 2.35/gallon here.
Commuting with my girl in her Expedition.
110 mile round trip every day.

We get fuel every other day. The pump stops at 50 bucks and the tank isn't full. Yep, 25 bucks every single day in fuel.

I'd break out the motorcycle and ride it in, but she's gotta get into town too and run around during the day.

No real good alternatives yet, and I refuse to move out of the hills.

    ALCOHOL

this is kind of O/T, but ethanol is an awesome alternative fuel, right now it is cheaper than gas, and if it were to be m*** produced it would make farming a very profitable business again, we could produce all the grain or corn or whatever right here in the states, and if we were making alot of it it would be CHEAP. not only that but it has a much higher octane rating than pump gas so you could have a higher compression engine and it creates a cooler intake charge going into the engine, making more power, and it burns CLEAN. and everycar could be converted to run on it. now if only the HAMB could overthrow the corporate gas nazis and start HAMBGAS, Americas source for the best fuel around...

Just my opinion, I've been known to be wrong

    $1.91 regular here...

I hate my travel to and from work each day. It is not very far maybe only 35 miles roundtrip and it's all highway. But I made the decision to live where I do so ******* and moaning about the price of fuel and how often I need to fill up is irrelevant imo. I said it before, people have no problem shelling out $2 for bottled water, soda, or coffee but then pitch a fit when gas is $1.75 a gallon. IMO, you get a hell of a lot more use out of a gallon of gas than you do out a Bahama Beach Blast Slurpee...
I'm not saying that the gas prices are fair mind you, just trying to put things into perspective. It's no different for me than the price of cigarettes and beer. The prices will continue to go up on these items and people will still pay.

    e-mail from my boss:

You Think A Gallon Of Gas Is Expensive?

This is interesting, makes one think, and puts things in perspective:

Lipton Ice Tea 16 oz $1.19 ....$9.52 per gallon
Ocean Spray 16 oz $1.25 ....$10.00 per gallon
    Gatorade 20 oz $1.59 ....$10.17 per gallon
    Diet Snapple 16 oz $1.29 .... $10.32 per gallon
    Whiteout 7 oz $1.39 ...... $25.42 per gallon
Brake Fluid 12 oz $3.15 .....$33.60 per gallon
    Scope 1.5 oz $0.99 ......... $84.48 per gallon
    Pepto Bismol 4 oz $3.85 ... $123.20 per gallon
    Vick's Nyquil 6 oz $8.35 ...$178.13 per gallon

    this is the REAL KICKER......
Evian water 9 oz for $1.49.... $21.19 per gallon.

$21.19 FOR WATER! ....and the buyers don't even know the source.
But then again Evian spelled backwards is "naive".

So, the next time you're at the pump, be glad your car doesn't
    run
on water, Scope, Whiteout, or God forbid, PEPTO BISMOL or
    NYQUIL!!!!
Just a little humor to help ease the pain of your next trip to
    the
    pump...

I'm sorry but anyone who pays that much for water (which covers %90 of the earth) is ****'n insane. I know of an overflowing well near my house. I'll cut that price by half.

I agree with the ethanol idea. We are paying 1.85 for regular here in NC. I hear the ethanol is hard on a fuel system- but I would convert my stuff over with all the stainless if I could find a cheap supplier of it. I also grew up on a farm that raised corn, soybeans, wheat, etc. and I think ethanol would help the farmers. Unfortunately the people who control the black helicopters aren't going to let this happen any time soon.

    [/ QUOTE ] Interesting.
I think maybe we oughta sell everything by the gallon.
It'll give you more of a comparison.
But then again, Most of us don't buy 30 gallons of Pepto Bismol every week either.
