I'd rather pay over $3.00 a gallon for this COVID -19***** to be over. I've never complained about gas prices for my hot rods as its a hobby. Now my daily drivers, thats a different story.

Oil prices are not a result of the virus.

Absolutely stupid thread. No doubt it’s low. 6 pages of obvious.

Over 2 dollars in Pa. Then again we are still passing a gas tax for a flood almost 100 years ago.

It always amazes me how cheap gas can be in other states an or other counties when in Bakersfield Ca we actually pump it out of the ground! Buddies that work for in oil are getting laid off. Sadly it’s kinda normal for them though.

The current low prices probably are, - supply and demand.

It was $1.56 a gallon here yesterday

  14. The cheap gas prices are a result of a couple of factors-Russia and Saudi Arabia are competing to be the low price leaders in the global market-so other countries can buy oil outside of North America cheaper. Also the Covid situation means not as many vehicles are on the road-and not as much demand for oil related products (solvents, plastics, etc)as manufacturing is at a basic standstill. Its not a good sign of the economy when the fuel prices are so low. The oil companies are basically paying to get rid of their products right now as they are selling for less than the cost to get it out of the ground ,process it and get it to the pump. Not a good long term strategy and not good for the industry or economy long term.
