hi guys ive got a model a with an ansen intake, brand new Stromberg 97 and reds headers, ive just taken the intake off as I wanted to make some adjustments to the headers, and there was about a cup full of gas, in the bottom of the intake , car was last used at the weekend and runs good, whats the likely cause jets/float/ fuel pump that is set to 1.5 thanks for any help
Had the same thing happen with my 30, the needle valve is leaking and gravity is causing the gas to over fill the float bowl and leak into the intake and then the cylinders. Check the oil and see if there is gas in the oil. You need to shut the fuel off when you park the car even if the needle valve is working correctly, a small spec of rust will cause problems. I had almost a half of tank of gas in the oil pan one night, only thing that saved the engine is the fact it was flooded and didn't start.
