Projects Gas tank dimensions question.

I'm looking for a poly gas tank for my "41 Ford Tudor, it should be approx. 31" x 18". Does anyone know where to find gas tank dimensions for different new cars so instead of sorting through used tanks at junk yards I could just say "do you have a tank for a ___________? Just askin'.

 

I believe Bob Drake, as well as Sacramento Vintage have poly as well as steel gas tanks.... Made for specific years and models.

Even if you find a poly tank in a junk yard, chances are it won't fit your car and the filler neck will be way off. Here's where you can get one at a good price.

Thanks for the advice, my problem is because of where I live most suppliers want $200 for shipping.
