gas tank neck in trunk - safety concern

Alright then, it's decided. Gas tank cap OUTSIDE of the car, not in the trunk. Just got back from Sleds in September kustom show in Branson and saw about 50/50 on the gas cap outside/inside the trunk. Either way looked good IMO, so why chance it. Thanks to everyone who responded.
