What kind of tips do you all have for sealing a home made gas tank. I just finished welding up the tank for my chopper project last night with my*****py flux core wire feed machine (there is about 8 feet of welding on the tank). I was planning on using a gas tank sealer I bought from Speedway a while back, but I would like to test the tank first.
Whats the best way....air, water, gas, alcohol?
And any tips on using a gas tank sealer?

Low air pressure, and soap water.

If it's the pour in and slosh around type of sealer, use it first.
I sealed my new home made tank and found 1 weld pin hole.
The sealer weeped through the hole and sealed it tight.
    Good Luck

If you are going to use air, fill it mostly with water, or the soapy water trick. If you fill it with all air and it blows it will be like a gernade.
