Does anyone have pictures of how the gas tank straps bolt up on a 1948-54 Pontiac Chieftain four doof sedan? I can't seem to find any info for them and the shop manual has no information on them.
I've got pics of a 48 convertible but the 48 is a different body than 49 up.........these may give you some clues.........The top of the tank sits up against those two brackets. The hook end of the strap goes into the hole you see in the bend of the bracket and the threaded end of the strap goes into a hole in the very rear cross-brace (of the frame).........
