I need to find a gas tank for my 32 p/u. I plan to mount it under the back of the bed.

I just measured the gas tank in my bosses 41 Ford coupe and it would be a perfect fit, everything including fill, mounting tabs, etc are in the right spot.

Finding a good 41 coupe gas tank might prove difficult. But...if 41-48 coupe, sedan, etc are all the same tank I might have better luck.

Does anyone know what years/models tanks (if any) would be the same as 41 coupe? Do you have your green books handy?

BTW, the flage aroung the tank measures 20" x 34w" and the tank is 6" deep with the fill going in the LHS.

    Thanks,

    Neal

i am 99% sure that the 41's are the same as 42 - 48. I am certain that the coupe and sedans are the same i dont have a tank right now but have had 3 within the last few years all of which were fair and sold for 60 - 100 bucks.. good luck

This stamped steel, 17 gallon capacity tank has our multi-pattern, no leak sender flange to accept your 6 or 12 volt aftermarket sender. Mounting surface has cage nuts for easy bolt-in installation.

They show them as all the same, but at $245 for new, I will look for a good used one.

Anyone have one they want to sell?

BTW, I got the T door yesterday. I fits right in with the the pile of rusty T roadster parts I already had. They will make a good yard car some day [IMG]
