    1.30 euro per bloody litre here in cork city ireland.most of that is tax.apint of draught guinness is 3.90 euro in my local and most of that is tax as well

  4. I've heard several variations on this. I've heard it's OPEC trying to discourage us from fracking, I've heard it's them trying to get Russia or Venezuela to stop drilling altogether, I've heard it's the Saudis trying to discourage ISIS from using the wells they've captured, any number of things. One thing's for sure, it's not just our oil industry that's being hurt. I agree with those who have said it's artificially low, but at the same time where it was before was artificially high so who knows where it'll end up when it shakes out.

    When I first started driving it was 29.9 per gallon and we would occasionally see gas wars and the price going down as low as 15 cents, but those days are ancient history.

  13. I remember the gas wars. Another thing I remember was 3, sometimes 4 gas stations at the corner of bigger intersections even tho there were much fewer cars on the road. Now, with cars everywhere, the gas stations are much fewer and spread further apart
