Did a search and didn't find anything... Does anyone have any pictures of their own/someone else's g***er F-100? Can't help but think about going this way with my 59 but I would love to see if they look any good. Any way to use the stock straight axle and still get it up in the air up front? Thanks for any insight. Adam
I'm just getting started on mine...I like the look of 'em this way... I've seen the one on e-bay that everyone and their mother owned ( the yellow one) and a recent one for sale with a 283, but, mine will be big block powered... Should be done for summer!
I am up in the air, at the moment, as to whether to use a speedway tube axle ( after all, its pretty cheap, and my truck needs kingpins, and springs ) or, just do it with the stock axle, and try to gain some height with new springs...It may not get truly nose high either...it depends on how much more money I need for drivetrain this year, if it will wait 'till next year or not...it needs to run the number, in my opinion, first and foremost... I will keep you posted, I have some scenarios to figure out, and total up price vs. function. problem with stiff/ high-arched springs is: no give/no weight transfer...but, then again...I'm not building a Super Pro car...
This one was just on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford...ryZ39414QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
I never called it a g***er, but built it and raced it for years. I went through many motors, but the one in it the longest was a highly modified 292 Y-block with 3 twos. Had it hooked to a 4 speed and 4:11's.
