    Name Henry Gasser Also Known as. Henry Martin Gasser. Born Newark, New Jersey born, Newart, NJ 1909-died 1981 Nationalities. Painter, teacher and writer. A native of Newark, N.J., Gasser studied at the Newark School of Fine and Industrial Art and served as its director from 1946 – 54. Henry Gasser.jpeg

    My granddaughter does a lot of drawing and artwork, and last summer did her first automotive related drawing. She gave me this pencil drawing of my '39 Chev for Christmas last year.

    My teammates '51 y J "No Quarter" on the Oldies Tee shirt at Firebird Raceway. He went on to win the Gasser Class that year !! Doesn't git better than that !! nicks Henry J.jpg winner nick.jpg

    CATDAD49 ,,Thanks,enjoy see others always who tried the same stuff.
    Thats pretty sharp. Ya,even the stocker flathead 6 was fairly fast,car didn't add up to many lbs/2400 stock total.
    But the one I got,only had the 4cly,so in 1960, I put a Olds Rocket 88 in it,then customed the body a lot.
    Always interesting in what others did.
    Depending there own art eye ,the out came took a wide swing!
    I still think my own full custom "J" had good flow to all of it!
    Wish I had been able to keep more photos . Limited to about 6 old ones,an mostly not the best angle.
