Gasser engine and bay colors?

I painted the engine in my '57 belair white. Red car with black engine bay. Looked very good IMO. That orange/gold that was posted looks very good. The hot pink idea is different. I suspect that, being suggested by a ford guy, the hope is that useing a supposidly feminine color might slow the chevy down enough to let the fords catch up. Don't think it will work tho'

 

Paint it the abscence of color. [black for the uneducated]
