I wonder if all this was said when the first guy showed up with a 350/350 in his Ford. Everyone had an opinion.

    I think it's pretty cool.

This is pretty much the exact thing I am going for. I love this car. Is it still around?

I'm probably going to do a buggy spring/radius rod setup like it as well.

Radiused fenderwells using mustang fender lips is also on the list.

Lenny "Pop" Kennedy ran a nailhead Gran Sport in '65 and did real well with it. So did some '66 Sports.

This is the exact swap that I was seriously contemplating in the summer of '64, also had a Falcon and the Nailhead on hand, but just not enough scratch, or experience to see it through.
Don't let no one fool you, I and my teenage buddies were 'bench racing' over this exact gasser combo 'back in the day'. True, I didn't get it built (only 16 at the time) but we sure as hell gave it a lot of thought, and wanted to build it.
In '67 I did get around to the swapping of Buick V-8s into 2 different Falcon's,
however they were only the 'baby Nailhead' 215 inchers_ but could yank the wheels, and ran like stink through the first two gears.

A whole bunch of Falcon lovers are going to yell when you put the torch to that baby. So! Let um yell. I love the idea and will enjoy seeing the build. Gassers rule!

  26. sell the cool nailhead and put a ford in the falcon.
or maybe i should call don moyer and borrow an amc motor for my falcon?
    or not.

Sheeeeit, Scott...you're about three bubbles off plumb, but I admire that sort of thing. Glad you're right here in town...I've gotta stop by and check this latest project out. I recently did a wiring job on a 61 Falcon for a friend. His car is nice, but stock/high performance. Your idea is a whole bunch more inspirational.

What ever ended up happening with your 30 Model A sedan?
