    You are certainly correct......... those like myself that caught the very tail end of what would probably be called the good old days, and were lucky enough to participate, certainly were "Lucky Bastards" as you say............

    I would like to know the actual difference between "gassers" and A/FX cars, but then again, I am not buliding correct cars. I like "steet freaks". I have helped build over 6 street freaks now. Are they gassers or a/fx cars? What do you call a buick LeSabre or 54 pontiac with straight axles in them? I am the younger generation and am currently bulding a F100 with a straight axle in it and over 10" of lift in the front. No front bumper, stock 292 Y-block. To me it is just a street freak, but some will call it a gasser. So why don't we call them sraight axle street cars?

    Its a 1963, No pics yet, probably this weekend. And stock block for me means no internals, just heads, intake and carbs, and of course custom fenderwells.
