It will be a street and race truck, it's not g***er as far as nose high with an axel but a low down style g***er, I plan to run D/GAS with it:cool: Ron...

    something like this one

  8. You and Ron have the right idea. I'm building The Ugly Truck fenderless because I dislike the front sheetmetal on these years of truck. I'm sure someone has figured out a way to make even those look good, though.

theres a very small set of driving lights mounted just below the hood just past the nose cone, you can barely see them but they work great:cool::D. I now have side panels made for it and they are finished off, I'll get some pics of them when I get the lights back in, I am finishing up body work on the frontend right now. Ron....

that dodge pickup is neat...we're just finishing one done traditional style for a guy...small block chev and all original trim left on the truck. had to use a chevy bed & fibergl*** rear fenders, custom rear pan, et. but I like the way yours looks. Bob

I got one kinda like the dodge only a 41 chev, boxed front, tubular back half, mstg ll , disc brake 9 inch, 454/th400. The cab is chopped 4 inches, suicide doors, gl*** tilt front end, gl*** 2 inch wider rear fenders and gl*** running boards. The wheel base was shortened 9 inches for better porportions with the chop too.

    from nowhere...

    I am also

Check out the build in my thread: "'58 F 100 drag truck"
trucks are cool...they come with the advantages ( most times ) of plenty of room for tire, easy dis***embly, plenty of room for large engine, stout frames, and, finally...they are fairly easy to lighten, even though they do tend to way more than a car initially...

    Good luck!

Fenderwell headers for a small block Chevy are everywhere at swapmeets around here. You can also buy new ones from Speedway and some guy on Ebay has some nice ones.

That is the plan for this '55. Big Block, 400 Turbo, straight axle, Ford 9", gl*** flip-front end. It will be street/strip. If anyone has a '55-'59 g***er style pickup, love to see pics of them.

Here is mine, a 37 Dodge with blown 350, TH400, 9" rear end and is still a long way from being roadworthy.

Now this is cool. much the same idea as my 49 Hillman.I have about 75% of the parts to build it and just need to find the time to do it. It will be powered by a BBC and straight axle front end with a 9 inch out back running 15 by 10 slots and a set of 15 by4.5 slots up front with a steel flip front end!Oh my I`ll get at it some day!

Man that was a dozen years ago, but I'm sure they are tri-5 chevy. I tried a pair of fenderwells on this big block but they won't clear the tire, it dumps right on the back of the tire. I used the same motor mounts by the way.
