Hey HAMB'ers, anybody have experience or advice about springs/axle aswell as steering for a '54 olds 88 2 door sedan. I've always loved these cars and tri-five's just are not reasonable these days. Any thoughts or ideas on a solid axle transplant; please let me know! Thanks

i do believe the frame is the same on a 54 olds as it is on a 55 olds, correct? if so, we used a late 55-60 chevy truck axle and springs on this 55 olds my dad and i built. it's one option. i'm sure an econoline can be made to work, too. as well as a speedway straight axle setup, or one from mas.

Thanks for responding guys; I concur with Satan's Ride, your '55 is a great set-up and is better looking than most any other mid '50s GM g***er!
