Mine's more than that - I'll have to go out to the garage to give an exact number. BTW you can also LENGTHEN your steering arms (off the spindles) to do the same thing as shortening the pitman arm.
my straight axle comet is about 3-1/4 turns lock to lock but i havent drove it yet to see how sensitive it is. george
that sounds like really quick steering; my 37 Chev coupe has more turns lock to lock (I'll have to count em)..but it does feel a bit slow from other cars that I'm used to, but the others do have power steering. What did you change on your steering setup to get what you have now?
...my car is over 5 turns lock to lock; it's different to drive but you get used to it real quick; it does steer with little effort tho, feels like it has power steering.(BTW, I'm using a Saginaw manual steering 525 box, orig. pitman arm and Speedway steering arms/tierod and steering rod to the right side; cross-steering on the orig. 37 axle) ...lifting your front doesn't change the steering much; the steering arms and pitman arm do tho. ...usually your steering stops are built into the steering arms, it stops when they hit the axle.
