Go to the excellent http://gassermadness.com , RIP Byron.
If you look lower down on the home page under the title 'new stuff' you'll see a series of pics titled 'Iowa Drag Racing Photos By Jim Farnsworth. You'll find the pic in that collection.

Now if we can just find the 5w it was racing we'll be in business

Yeah, same here. Obviously, you can do whatever you want, but I would've loved to see it remain a gasser.

No longer a gasser and no longer a survivor, guess any history was irrelevant.

Cool hot rod idea, but it SHOULD stay a gasser. Build it back to that picture in Iowa. Either way I'm not too worried, he's had it for 15+ years and done nothing with it.

Turns out, this gasser did not survive...nor did it stick to the Cadillac engine plan.

  12. I like both versions, but lean toward the original.

It’s as cool as an ice cube , but I’m into hot rods with fenders

It’s a tough call. It isn’t my car, it isn’t my money that paid for any of it, and it isn’t mine to figure out how to enjoy.

I guess it’s good it’s back on the road.

@Anderson tell us about the chop. . .
Very tastefully done in my opinion

  20. Let’s see, it started a gasser, ended up a hot rod and somewhere in the middle it got parked in a corner and forgotten about. Sounds like ya have a great build there.
