The owner of the car is on here (I was wrong again, it's smautobody). PM him and ask him.
Nothing $15,000.00 or so shouldn't take care of.

how to get to sound like that car? pull a couple plug wires off, or spend a lot of money building a blown engine.

  5. I recently had my Henry J in the local 4th of July parade where I would rev the open header engine up to scare kids and frighten old ladies. After the parade someone ask me where I hid my external speakers under the car to make that sound.

So there ya go, record the sound and get some speakers for under the car....

When you say "sound like that", are you talking about the exhaust note, or are you talking about the the cam surge when he's idleing.

A supercharged engine with a high lift cam will will get you that repetitive surge at idle. You could even do it with a supercharged small block. The problem is if you want to run it on the street, most people want hydraulic lifters to minimize maintenance. Hydraulic lifters with rollers will be a must if you want to a cam with reasonably high lift. High lift cams take high pressure valve springs to keep the lifters on the cam lobes. Too much valve spring pressure will ruin a hydraulic lifter, which can lead to more severe damage. A good experienced supercharged engine builder will know what he can get away with, and perhaps find a good balance of cam surge, lift and spring pressure.

I thought a lot of the surge in a blower car was caused by real fat idle?
