What is your favorite year car for a gasser. My personal favorite would have to be a 57 ford. I like it more than the bow tie gassers and anything else. But what do you guys like? Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
Willys. Love those Willys gassers. Used this pic because I took it, and because I like Don and his car.
Hmmm I’m note sure but when it comes to Gassers it might have to be the 55 Chevy! [emoji1303] Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
These cars are great all around! They look amazing as customs, and as gassers. Mr. ford sure had a eye for looks Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
The SWC Willys! Always wanted a Willys after I saw a pic of that car, especially after I saw a color pic of the blue.
The Southern Gasser's Association has really hit a nerve with what they are doing with their shows and drag racing to bring back a wonderful era from the 60's This group seems to really understand what many of us have wanted to see again for years! There shows are the Best Around and worth every penny you pay to come and watch them race. Just my opinion but I really love their programs and I cannot thank them enough for what they are doing for Real Drag Racing. Jimbo
My all time favorite gasser is the Jim Oddy chopped Austin. But I may be a little bias towards Austins.
Favorite year car for a gasser will bring as many answers as there are members on the HAMB. I believe there are cars that were used more often simply because of availability but I also believe folks used what they had. The Southern Outlaw Gassers, mentioned by Jimbo, as an example, has a wide variety of body styles, as do the other Gasser Associations around the county. I know I used what I had available, but they all look great. Gasser Racing has become very popular in the last 5-7 years and Im glad to see racing that doesn't involve 3000 plus HP computer controlled cars only available to those with a boat load of money. My favorite...65 Ford Ranchero...because that's what I had to build, could have been a 55 Chevy just as easy.....just never saw an FE in a 55, but that's another story.
There's quite a few that I would like to have in my stable, but Big John Mazmanian's '61 Vette is one of my favorites! [emoji41]
Deuces, in general a pretty good collection in your post (even the ones with the 10 spoke front wheels ) except for this three ring circus act. Roo
I went through and deleted the off topic pro street 56 fords. Tubbed cars with narrowed rears are not gassers and are certainly off topic here
