"Gathering of the Faithful" NE Speed Meeting

hey brian..... we are meeting at my house on saturday morning at 8:00, great to have you come along with us, are you bringing the roadster or your daily? if you decide you want to go with us just turn off of nate whipple highway across from the attleboro farm & garden shop and cross over to holmes road and turn left onto holmes road, i am the raised ranch on the right, you'll probable see the cars out there anyways, we'll look for ya. mike

p.s. i've never been to that location of the show so i'm taking paul's directions of 495s to 195w to Rt.105 to Rt.6.... he said it's right on Rt.6 in marion so we shouldn't have any trouble finding it.

 

THOSE DIRECTIONS ARE RIGHT ON. LESS THAN 1/2 MILE AFTER YOU TURN RIGHT ON 6, THE VFW IS ON YOUR RIGHT. LOOK FOR THE CANNON.

Sorry John, Your car has been photographed enough. It's someone else's turn this weekend.........Maybe if your car is next to mine, it may get taken.

Mike, are you taking the A? If you are taking your daily drivers, then I don't want to slow you up. 65mph is all I run down the highway with the flattie.

 

Brian, Thats not what we want to hear. Just think warm and dress like it's cold. LOL. Jim and I are both in open cars. The rest of the pussys will have there heat on. Lucky bastards. Jerry

 

Jerry, if I'm not there by 8 it is not because of cold or rain, it is because something broke. I just put a pertronix in the flattie and have not road tested it.

 

yeah i'm taking the A brian..... and i was actually planning on taking it easy on the ride down there, say 60-65....... hope we see you in the roadster at my house about 7:45 or so..... dress warm man!! and don't listen to jerry, no heat in mine except windows, it's still gets pretty nippy in there....FORTUNATELY not as nippy as the roadster-riders!! LOL see you in the morning .....

Paul, any word from dennis o'brien, is he going to make it?

Keith, what are you bringing over there tomorrow?

Mike, one day you need to come over and look at my 31 body. I am thinking of setting it on duece rails.

 

I'll have the Henderson Midget chassis in the van within an hour. This is a good thing, forced me to move around a lot of crap in the basement to allow me to get it out. Might cause me to continue organizing things down there, and let me make some progress on things this winter.

 

Glad you got some benefit from bringing the Henderson, besides showing the rest of us what it looks like in real life.


I had lunch with Bob Nelson on Thursday. He's looking forward to seeing you again after about 1/2 a lifetime. He'll have that hotrod '15 T that you're familar with.

It was a cool little show--I'm glad you guys posted up here about it, or I would have missed it. I had to do some other stuff in the city first, so I didn't get down there until late--1:30 or so, so I missed the meet-up. It was a nice day for a drive, though.
