Greetings from another Aussie in Sydney NSW.

My first hotrod was a 1940 Chev convertible with a Y block in 1974 (we did that sort of thing in Oz then!) but I've reversed the engine/body combo with an SBC in a 30 A coupe on 32 rails and another SBC in a '38 Ford Ute.

Here's the A coupe when I bought it from another John (in the beard and HD shirt) in Redding CA in 2009, and below that is the same car after I RHD'd and denatured it to pass NSW registration (add fenders and delete limefires, big back wheels and open hood) earlier this year. Sorry about the Welds HAMBers ;-) - I've just bought some US Indys from a HAMBer for the back and looking for some 15x5s for the front.

Greetings John from the west coast of Florida.

Man those cars are beautiful and sitting just right.

Hot Rodding appears to be alive and well in your country.

    Best Regards. Jimbo

    Thanks for the welcome blokes.

Yes you can:). I wouldn't recommend 10" steelies with 275/70/15s like it started with on a light rod with ordinary shocks like my car though- there was so much weight in those wheels the back end got the tremors before the car hit the bumps even.

The other John who built the car was tossing up about some American Racing 5 spokes and that would probably have suited the look and the road performance too.
