Can anyone recommend what weight gear oil I should use in my 55 Ford Country Sedan differential? Thanks.
im trying to change mt rear fluid in my 54 customline the fill fitting i can turn with a 3/8" ratchet extension but the drain hole is much smaller but bigger then a 1/4" extension,is there a tool im not thinking of.thanks
For extra protection you might consider Royal Purple 90W140, parts for our older Fords can be a chore to find the added friction reducers should pay off in the long run.
I am going to use Ams-oil in mine . I like their oils and they have a complete line of lubricants for the entire car . Plus the dealer in right down the road from me so I don't have to go the the bigger towns to get the oil & lubes I need . Almost anything is better than the older lubes we used years ago and is so much better for the parts ! It's worth spending the extra $$$ for a good quality oil / lubes for our cars ! They will last much longer too ! Jim
