I put a Doug Nash unnderdrive on a TH400 in a step van that was geared for flat land.

It belonged to a friend of mine who periodically needed to go up to his property in the mountains.

It worked well. The whole vehicle was noisy, so it was hard to tell what was what.

 

I like your comments, easier to install GV.. and I only need to shorten driveshaft.. my Pickup is fun to drive... but I keep reaching for shifter for the next gear. TH400 HD trans should be easy upgrade.
