Tumbleweed, do you know dates of events in the tacoma/seattle area or even Portland that Gene will be attending? A friend in Ohio sent me the book for an early bday gift and then I wished I still lived down the road from his shop! I know he usually attends some kind of hotrod show up here but don't know the name etc. Would love to have it autographed.

He is at the top of my list of cool people! If it wasn't for a local club telling me to take my Galaxie over there to see about body work. I might not of even learned about the "Constellation" that he did. Gene told me about it when he saw my car. Meeting him is like meeting up with the next door neighbor. Really great person and great stories too. Got to spend several hours there all together and loved every second of it!

  6. Ahhhhhh the young lady with the dented quarter panel.. I will get you the dates and locations a.s.a.p.
As far as the other questions.. I will check to see if the supply of books has been received. They come in lumps and sometimes he has trouble keeping up.. But.. Those that have ordered them already are at the top of the list..
As far as payment from down under.. I will find out what he does there.. I know he sends a good bit of stuff to your country so he does have a payment method that works for him..... Thanks..... Mark

  8. as much fun as it sounds... No need to kill... Place an order and ya got it.. Again.. The demand is high and sometimes it takes a a short while to get your copy.. But... You will get it.. The sooner you order it.. The sooner you will have it.. It is a great book and well worth the short wait..

  9. I met Gene at the Pomona L.A. roadster show at the swapmeet part of it.. He was selling his parts out there. What a nice guy. He's got it going on. Good for him. A really true American. An icon. His wife is really a sweetheart too. I love them both. Mikey

Gene Sounds like a real great guy - a living legend - would love to meet him one day.

He looked so familiar to me though......... then I realised he reminds me a lot of Harvey Keitel ...

    What do you think?

  11. I finaly got the chance to meet Gene at the Dallas autorama, what a great man, so humble and meek, never met a nicer man. I ask if he'd mind me taking a picture of him and he said "sure, come around here and stand by me" man I just about fell out, so I hand the camera to my wife and ask if she'd mind taking the picture, that was an awesome time for me. He's like a super hero to me.
