HAY! Never thought I'd say I'm new at anything again at my age, but this I am. I'm not new at Hot Rods just this on-line stuff. With a little help from a frend I ended up here. I've been into Hot Rods since the first set of loud pipes I heard. I don't own the first car I bought but do have some I drove to High School a "long" time ago. Was a mechanic mostly and became a welder/machinist out of necessity. Did some Drag racing and learned to Fly ( thanks Sam!) Took some time out to get through life. Attended Bakersfield Reunion in 1998 and got re-exposed to real Hot Rods! Thank You. It was GOOD to see young people still doing what I did early on and it got me moving. I never had much use for Chrome and that experience re-***ured me I still don't need it. Looking forward to a few more years of making noise and burning Rubber in my old school "origional" Rod. Maybe this web site will help me find some pieces I need and help me get fair market valu out of some "STUFF" I don't need. The Wizzard
Hey P-n-B...where exactly is "Rust Country", unless of course, you're talking about the ocean rusting everything...I didn't think cars rusted from the bottom up in the Pacific Northwest... There's more than a few old farts on this board...so welcome from another...and yeah, it is good to see the youngsters in it... As far as fair market value for your parts...if you're thinking you'll get what you paid for it back in the fities and sixties, than yeah, that'd be fair market value on this board... BTW, welcome to the House of HAMB... R-
Pist-n-Broke eh? And you run a drag racing Henry J with the same name? I'm fairly sure you know my little brother Louie who also runs a drag racing Henry J. Black & chopped. Regardless, welcome to the HAMB. It's a fun place and you'll learn some interesting things....
p-n-b, welcome aboard. we'd love to see some pictures of your ride. and/or pics of your cars you had in the past.
welcome, always glad to see someone older than me in here. Those ranks are dwindling. Especially happy to see a real hot rodder. Let us know what you need if you have any problems posting pics or needing stuff. Yes we want to see your stuff too. I love seeing some of the originals that guys have kept for their lifetime. Welcome to the Hamb!!
Well, a mechanic, welder/machinist by necessity, and don't like chrome. You're my kinda folks. Don't worry about this new mellenium stuff, like welding, machining, and being a mechanic it'll come with a little practice. Where were you between '73'n''75 maybe I got a ride from ya? Welcome from the Pork'n'******
Although i'm not that young i love to hear stuff from the guys a little older than me. Welcome from way over the pond.
Just to let you guys know he's not the sharpest tool in the shed but he's a hell of a good friend. Welcome you big jerk...Love Danny
