  1. Wow!What a reception.
I'm not much here on the key board so I'll probably not respond to each of you directly. I'm still learning to operate this thing so photos may be slow coming, however I will try to address each coment.
550lds88, 1998 at Bakersfield I just watched. Being a Gray Beard and thinking there was a generation thing I didn't mix much. After a full day at the Track I went into town to eat and while at the burger shack a some young guys came in the lot with a car on a trailer. It had more carboraters on it than I'd seen all day. Under them was a Huffer. Under that was a Pontiac motor. Behind that was a A Coupe bobbed off. Another hand built soon came in I belive Green Metal Flake and I over heard the driver saying "were still trying to get the Bubble right, that one broke too" Then out of no where the car on the trailer lit up and I found myself right in the thick of it all. How F--ing KOOL!! I felt 25 again and I'm sure I made a fool of myself but in spite of it all was invited to a party at some place called Squeeks. As they left the Parking lot I stood there feeling like I was on drugs. At my own loss I didn't go along. I've never forgoten that feeling. Next time I'm in Bako I'll be driving my Coupe and if invited, I'm Going.
No I didn't get to drink with the Kiwi's. Next time.
Briggs&Stratton Chevell, not sure what your referring to in Field car.
60's Style. not in Renton. I was branded with the Wizzard about 1968. It took a while but I got used to it.
40 Stude Dude. Right, what we call rust the left coast guys just laugh at. Your right, the young Guns are a good thing.
Mytlo56, as long as it's not a stripped kitty it's OK.
C9, No Henry J here but laughed when I first was told some one was using my handle. That was late 70's if I remember correct.
Petejoe; I do have some old Photos. After 4 divirces most of the good stuff got away. Most photos are work in progress.

Here's a little hint, Wizz...you CAN reply on the same post you started out on...and thank all those folks instead of starting a new one...you just have to go find it, type your thanx, submit it and it'll automatically kick it back to the top of the page...Simple, huh?

You'll get the hang of it...and don't worry about the spell check...there's very few on this board that know what correct spelling is and how to do it...think it has something to do with schoolhousin'with they were yung!

Just curious, I was gone from the Portland area by the early 70s. By '73 I was catching rides (when I wasn't bustin' a hump) from Uncle Sam's pilots.
If you had a shop in Portland you didn't by chance know Danny Kilcup?
