  1. I've had houses with an attached garage, but you found a garage with an attached house!!!!!

it is attached to a really old Tom Teesdale lugged frame that i have built as a single/fixed witha flip flop hub and a salsa stem and a set of gen-you-ein Ibis scorcher bars. when i worked at a shop in boston, it had that basket/rack above on the front, and it was my coffee runner bike. i had a little suspended coffee tray in there using giant rubber bands and a cardboard coffee tray...

now that i am out in the sticks (in a MA way, not a ND way) i am gonna stick the basket back on so it can be my farmer's market bike.

that old Teesdale frame rides so nice.

i am definitely sort of feeling the 'embar***ment of riches' right now. i think i know what it costs to build a shop like that. and i am pretty sure we spent less than that for the house, garage, shop, and acre.

so yeah. i am wicked lucky. but at least i KNOW how lucky i am. haha

  15. Thanks for lett'n us in on that awesome find of yours!
    What a cool place...
I'm reminded of what a friend said when asked what kind of place he was look'n for by the real estate agent...
40x40 or 40x60, neighbors far away, 200+ amp 3 phase, natural gas heat, 12 to 14 foot ceilings, not too many doors or windows, concrete block or brick - a pit would be nice, insulated and a finished bonus room with a full kitchen and bath on about an acre with some kind of house out front...for her...:D

  18. I guess Teesdale is quite the character, my old Schwinn rep from Iowa described him as a crazy hillbilly! He built some of the high end Fishers 20 years ago oor so. The Scorcher bars make me droool

    roflmao.

i describe things that way too. and my wife just says that she'll make the house nice enough for me to talk about that first, someday.

she already has done some built in shelf demo in prep for a new closet. she's pretty hard core.

the 2 car garage is out front, and its back wall is shared with the front wall of the new shop. and they cut that p*** through between them.
