well denise, it's looking like december 5th is the christening...

and i am picking up a queen size sofa bed tomorrow for the shop...

of course, i have more...ahem...civilized accomodations available that are actually in the HOUSE if you prefer...

but really, whenever you come out this way, inside parking for big olds is ready and waiting.

Radiant heat in the garage? What a dump. Not really up to my usual standards but I'll show up for the free food. There will be free food right? And make space for the Maine guys I heard they're planning to play another round of "Owww My Balls" at your party!

That shop space rules! You are a lucky man....

  13. Very nice looking, almost empty shop. Savor it while you can cuz it'll probably be full in a couple months. Stuff seems to expand to fill available space, don't it?

    Congrats.

We did, and we'll working on it this weekend, although I am sorry to say that my mancave is not nearly the "garage-mahal" you've got there.
How did you manage to get this thread to seven pages long and still stay on topic if I had started it Pete would have hijacked it on page 2 with a conversation about what he found in his toilet that morning.

ah, see: pete's presence is directly related to a thread's ability to stay on topic...and i don't think he's been here yet.

that's awesome you got the place. stoked for you.

garage-mahal...that's funny. funny cuz it's true...

I know you've been busy with the new digs and getting settled but I want you make you aware of an important aspect of getting a new shop/house (noticed the order I placed those two in). At your earliest convience take a 100 ft. tape and pre-plan the addition to the shop that you'll find yourself needing no more than 1-2 years from now.
I know............ I know, "there is more room here than I'll ever need"................well, more dillusional men (car guys, myself included) than you have made similar statements. A lot of them are now making monthly payments on a home (shop) improvement loan. :D In the meantime enjoy your new fantasyland and keep us informed about the changes you make.

I had one until I ran out of room then I booted it out. I have to say that I was always nervous about that incase a welding spark accidentally got in it. now when I want a nap I have to nap in the Desoto (no more couch).

Yes ... I'd like to see an update when you're ready. I enjoy seeing photos of shops and garages as much as I like seeing photos of cars. :)
