Hey guys, I'm looking for a distributor for my '39. I already picked up a 6AL box off of Craigslist for $100. I'm building my hotrod on a budget so I'm looking for a good distributor that's compatible with the MSD Box I've got. I was thinking a JEGS SpeedMaster, but I'm not sure if it's compatibly? I'm ont a huge fan of the HEI distributors because of how bulky they are, so I'm trying to stay away from them if at all possible. Though I am open to any and all suggestions that you guys may have! Thank you in advance!
A good working stock points distributor will trigger the 6AL box just fine. Personally I'd skip the MSD box and run a pertronix kit and coil and be done with it. EDIT: I'm ***uming you are talking non flathead engine
you can use a plain old one from ford as the points will trigger the box . the instructions are in the box , if you do not have the box go to MSD's website and they have them there
Woah, sorry completely forgot to mention I'm running an SBC. Its a '98 10243880 block with a carb conversion. Not sure what all has been done to the block besides decking it and roller rockers
