Forgive my newness, but im not sure if i have a problem or not. i have a 55 customline 6 volt system and i notice if i accelerate hard on her, the generator light on the dash will light up. As soon as i let of to shift it goes away again. normal light driving it never comes on other that when i start the car. Is this normal or is there something i should be looking into? any help is appreciated! thanks

It is possible you may have a generator belt slipping at higher RPM's If the belt tension is good make sure the finish on the belt is not glazed which would also cause it to slip.
