Who is running a generator mounted fan in their Model A?
I would like to run a generator mounted fan on my 8BA (converted to early distributor) in my '30 Model A on A frame. It seems like the fan will be too close to the radiator hoses. Are guys cutting down the blades to fit or is there enough clearance? Or, is there a stock/custom radiator that has the outlets up high enough to clear? What's all needed to make this work?
Any pics or info that you could share would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

I couldn’t figure out how to make it work with my ‘28 with a stock ‘28 shell on it. It seems those that are able to do this are running 30-31s with a 32 radiator and shell at the original ‘32 height (too tall for a hood).

Anyone else with a more positive outcome? I won't be running a stock shell.

Do you have room for the lower fan ala' '48 Ford? Requires another belt in front of the regular belt, so crossmember clearance might be a problem.

No additional room. I know that I've seen it done. Was wondering what is needed to make it work.

Do you have a dual belt crank pulley and water pumps on the car now? Or did you convert to early pumps too?

You might be able to get creative with the stock parts, run the generator on an off set bracket and run the fan centrally on a modified mount so you only use the one belt. this allows the fan to be mounted a few inches lower. My set up isn't on a running (yet) engine but looks like it will all clear.
I'm using an alternator in a generator casing but you get the idea. Hopefully there is enough wrap around the fan pulley to get the job done. IMG_0073.JPG

I have a single belt crank pulley, water pumps and generator in alignment.. I do not have a radiator as of yet. By the looks of it, no worky.
