Has anyone use the gennie shifter on their aod?? if so, did you use the rear mount, or the mid mount? i am ***uming that on our cars we would need to use the mid mount due to a bench style seat? let me know if you or anyone you know has installed this thanks Jason
If you haven't seen it on the main board, the bad news is Gennie Shifter has gone belly up, some places may still have inventory on the shelves but if you need a replacement part, good luck. There seems to be some issues with the Lokars that have been posted on the main board also so you may want to make use of the search function.I am using a B&M Quick Silver on my AOD and it is a good fit.
jeff- i have read alot about gennie and lokar on the main board. i called MN hotrod hardware because i had heard that they were still getting orders from gennie. so i called and he told me that they are still taking orders and shipping them out, and still in business. luckily the only thing mn hotrod didnt have was the stick itself. but they had the mount and all the parts i need except the stick. He ***ured me that the stick will come in, i just have to wait up to a month to get it, which in my case is fine. i have the time to wait for the stick. but with the parts i have i can at least get the hole cut in my floor and get all the linkage setup and working.
If you are keeping the bench seat you should probably go with the mid-mount, based on where the stick would come out, hope the Gennie has a short throw.
