Can someone tell me how to remove the shift handle from the unit? I need to bend it to get it closer to the dash as all the "built-in" adjustment has been used. I see there is a roll pin to keep it in alignment, and a spring loaded detent in the bottom. Should it just pull out once the roll pin has been romoved, or is there something else holding it in?

set screw in the side with a spring behind it as I recall , it loads the detent.

Two little allen set screws at the base of the handle or "Shaft", just took mine off 10 minutes ago.

EDIT: Just did another version and it had a roll pin as mentioned by others. Pulled the roll pin and the stick seems to be press fit to a lower shaft that is the detent. Not sure how it comes off of there
