  1. There is a great saying that holds true, that "while all things are permissible, not all are beneficial"...

kinda reminds me of a beautifully built Homer Mobile

Your first line...WoW...Stinger's Two Car Garage...are we belittling the many two car garage guys out there working hard in this industry? I believe most any hot rod builder would talk to anyone and give shop tours....regardless of the size of the shop. Who are the screwballs???...the guys that have seen this truck built in this little two car garage you talk about? One man's heart and soul is in the build of that truck and people can't get over the fact it was a TWO CAR GARAGE GUY with a shitload of talent. Then when you read about it in print...it sounds like "someone" else built it from ground up. HHHMMM!

Not belittling anyone, I'm restoring my car in a one car garage. Just trying to make a point that a shop as established as Rad Rides woudn't need to steal the credit from another shop. If someone critiques a project of a builder, that's fine. But when someone attacks a person character when they talk to them for a few minutes at a car show, in my opnion, is not fair. Stinger, Rad Rides and every other shop gets shown appreciation when they cash their checks and I'm pretty sure Poteet's checks are good....
    GOTTA LOVE THIS SITE....

I think you begin to wonder how fairly the credit of the build is being given when you begin to see pictures of it on the internet and it says Rad Rides built it with NO mention of Brian Stinger. How does that happen..."who" did they get their info from...where's Stinger's name???????? Too many people like me have seen this truck being built at Brian's shop. Again...I think a lot of us thought this would happen when he took it up there and now look....! Brian's should get proper credit for his build on the truck. Look at his website and check out the truck assembled at his shop and tell me how does the info get misconceive?

I would guess the answer to those questions lie with George Poteet and not with Troy. Why did He pull it out of Stinger's shop to have it finished, why does He have Rad Rides hauling it to shows with their logo on it??? I don't know but I bet it's not so Troy can steal credit for the build... I think most car people know that it was Stinger's project that was assembled by Rad Rides and he is getting some credit because before this truck came along I had never heard of his shop...

The reason the truck went to Robbed Rods by Troy was because the truck was going to debut at the GNRS and Brian is one man shop he can only do so much. Troy said that he could have the truck painted in 30 days so it can be sent down to brians shop and be reassembled and Troy missed his deadline which forced Brian to go up to Troys and put the truck back together there. Just because Troys shop painted the truck doesnt mean he built the truck. It makes me wonder if Troy did this to Brian who else has he done this to????????? HMMMMMMMM????????????

When you say " who else he has done this to ", do you mean what other builders he has bailed out that got into projects above them. I'm not sure, but they are very good people over at that shop and I bet they would be willing to help anyone that got into a project they weren't capable of completing on their own.

And the thread just keeps going on and on. I find it hard to think that you aren't out to belittle the small shop that built an outstanding truck because you seem to think if Rad Rides name wasn't attached to it...no one would ever know who Stinger is. Have you checked out for yourself the quality of the build that Stinger did????? Imagine one man taking that whole task on? Stinger took a big step in letting his creation go up to Troy's and I think he thought it would all be worth it. Several of us...on the other hand...questioned that because we thought all this would happen? stulgjd....you must realize that Stinger went up to Troy's with the truck and I believe it was arranged with Brian's full knowledge....so if you look at it...Brian was there to complete it! Everyone should get proper credit...but BRIAN built the truck at his shop with his tools and believe it or not...it wasn't in a big fancy shop like you like (and little shops can turn out great stuff too you know????????)....then it went to Troy's. We realize you're a Troy fan....
I think it boils down to the character of people. One guy built a rolling piece of art and allowed it to be painted and assembled somewhere else. Is this one guy getting the credit he deserves for the build?????

Just messing with "HOTRODKID91" and if I offended you in the process, I apologize. At first I was upset of the Troy bashing because I know what great people Troy and his family are. Then I realized it's all part of the game. While people like Troy and Brian grace the pages of hot rod magazines with their award winning projects, me and other underachieving wannabes throw stones at them...

Feel free to continue your conversation via PM. We like to keep the focus on the car... and I think everyone has said all they need to about the aesthetic of this truck.
