So my brother sent me this, hes a big film buff and would probably make sweet love to george lucas if given the chance. Its his thesis film from USC apparently. Nothing out of this world but worth a look none the less, shows shades of grafitti and star wars chase scenes. The actual film doesnt start until about 1:20 in, there is a bunch of crap for the first minute. enjoy http://filmdrunk.uproxx.com/?p=6858
Very cool. Thanks for posting this. This film had cinematography that continued in THX 1138 during the final car chase with Robert DuVall. Probably the best part of the that movie.
Interesting, why they mention American Graffiti and Star Wars instead of THX1138 is rather baffling. Pete Brock, the youngest stylist to work at GM, then went on to design and prep cars for Carrol Shelby America, Designed the Super Daytona Coupe. Later ran his own team under the BRE banner and totally ruled the 2.5 Challenge in SCCA racing with Datsun. Still builds and designs car stuff. Amazing what kinds of shit is stuck in my head, eh?
Yeah, it isnt very polished... ( specially the sound fom scene to scene) But I enjoyed it more than Starwars.
Are you sure that wasn't shot by George Loogie? Definition of Loogie from Urban Dictionary: noun - a lump of sputum (as in phelgm) coughed (or, onomatopoeically, "hawked") up from the lungs. "loogie" is a portmanteau word, or alteration and combination, of "lung cookie." Excuse me; I gotta hawk up a loogie or two, lest I get pneumonia.
