Dug my 37 banjo out and removed the drums & backing plates & am in the process of installing the 40 backing plates. Also cut off the spring hangers and ground them down to a point that I like.

Doesn't seem like much but it took the better part of the day & I am one pretty happy SOB.

I am installing a T spring on this banjo & would apreciate any info you guys might have.

Found out that the rear end in the Free 86 S-10 4x Blazer that I drug home a few months ago is shot an I got it for the rear end. I did give the trans and transfer to a young guy to build for his Land Cruiser project. He helped lift the body shell and front clip off the blazer chassis so now I can chop that up and haul it off. Now it is check out the other rear ends I have stashed in the pile to see what might work and be useable.

Got most of the storm damage cleaned up... Believe me, that was enough for one weekend!

Still a little more to do, but the big stuff is gone.

Weather was BEAUTIFULL!!! And I was glad to be out in it.

Drove 200 miles to Baton Rouge Friday night with our vendor booth and worked the Rambilin Oldies Rod Run on Sat. Then drove back home, got about 5 hours sleep, and switched trailers early this morning. Made a 600 mile round trip with my 15 year old son to pick up his first project. A FREE 49 or 50 Dodge Meadowbrook. Got back home around 7:30 tonight. Whew! LOL...

Here's a few pics of the new project and my son along with HAMB'er "billjharris" that gave us the project. Thanks Bill!

Welded a perimeter frame for gas tank/pickup bed behind Bantam. Mounted front and rear suspension and reworked rear spring hangers as without tension on spring there was not enough travel. I also welded fish plates over the frame splices. I got the day off so bodywork today.

It warmed up enough outside (0C, 32F) that I could actually spend a few hours in my unheated garage yesterday. All I accomplished was taking apart a*****py old bookshelf and turning it into proper shelves on the wall. Once spring gets here I plan to take everything out of the garage so I can insulate, re-wire, and drywall the garage. I really need to turn it into a decent workspace.

I'll take that '32 Chevy off your hands if you don't need it. I have a beautiful '31 chassis sitting in the shop begging for it.
