Just got back from the Run to the Inn of the Mountain Gods show in Ruidoso, NM. 675 mile round trip, no issues. Some pics...the first one is Friday, early afternoon, day before show. Check the scenery!! The second is7am Saturday waiting to be let in, and 3rd is Friday early evening. Sign of the times......that 32 coupe in the 3rd pic (on the left) got best engine. LS!!!!!
some more 1st is early morning Saturday before the big crowds started coming in. Last two are North of Ruidoso between Capitan and Carrizozo. Gotta love them open 2 lane roads. These pics will show why NM is one of my favorite road trip areas. Lots prettier than the 750 mile roadtrip I did to the Goodguys Fort Worth show last weekend. Other than 2 Small-Birds, mine was the only 50's Ford p***enger car that I noticed! 300ish cars. On the flip side 4 of the first 6 awards went to 55 or 56 Chevies. 250-300ish cars. That's to be expected in New Mexico, but this was the same show the Goodguys NM rep gave me the award for his favorite car of the show in '19
One of my car. This setup is neat if your in the show. The Mopar guys next to me were backed up to their hotel room. The old Ford got tons and tons of interest all day long. One guy kept looking and asking questions. He finished by saying "this car is so unique and obviously well done with the miles you've put on it.......it has got to be worth a lot of money. I laughed and replied "lot's of money"? Make me an offer and we'll see. He didn't.
I seen your car at Goodguys in FtWorth, I recognized it from reading your post here! It’s as nice as they come! I looked for you but no one around looked like it was their car
Thanks..bad timing I guess........I only went off once for a 1 1/2 hour walk around. I shoulda cleaned my wheels...just lazy. Were you anywhere near the fire/explosion?
I didn’t have my car there and had to leave and be home by 2, I felt like I missed half of it! I didn’t even get to the swop meet, my neighbor text me a video, just said it had to move his car, I thought someone’s car was burning! Was relieved to find out it wasn’t!
