If I may suggest an idea.

Perhaps we can each send the folks at the Discovery Channel an e-mail saying how much we enjoyed this show and would love to see more of it, as well as more like it. I know I'd like to see more of what they did, they had to skip a lot to fit it into an hour, well less with commercials and all. But perhaps if they get a lot of positive feedback about this, they will think about doing more of the same type of stuff?

I loved the fact there was no bickering and whinning and complaining! And I have a lot respect for JJ after seeing the way he treated those guys.

Anywho, just a thought.......

 

Probably one of the coolest things that has ever aired on television!
Does anyone know if this car is going to be shown in the near future? Don't they film these shows months in advance before airing them?
It would be cool to see in person. This is easily one of the most memorable kustoms built to date. It would be awesome if they brought it up to Paso this year.

 

I didn't get home from work till 10pm so I missed the first go round. It's on again here in about 5 minutes. I plan on watching it but I put a tape in just in case I fall asleep Beside, I'll now be able to make copies and sell them on EBay for big bucks

I just saw it now.... man, that was about the coolest goddamn thing i've seen in TV in a while. When you see a quality show like that, I just laugh when American Chopper comes one next with the usual bullshit that show is filled with. Fuck the drama, build something. I dig that Chevy alot... amazing how they made all that look just so easy.

to save space, i'll just agree with everyone else. fantastic show and an even better car. i love the interior as well. bill sure is a short guy but man can he do some lead work.

 

I learned more watching that one show than I ever did in metal when I was in HS.Damn!

I also now know how I'm going to get the ass end of my delivery down lower, thanks Fat Jack!

that show kicked ass!!!!! i loved the fact that one of my club members' car was on there, dick dean drove in tranny john's lincolin at the beginning of the show.(dick also did the chop,& side windows in it) i love watching all those guys work, btw, that show wasn't all filmed in advance, as gene was painting it the weekend of the detroit autorama.i agree with sending a e-mail to discovery channel, all i ask is for one season of those guys doing what they do, & i would be a happy guy till my death!!!......chip

I think every person who frequents this message board had better E-mail the Discovery Channel and let them know that we all agree that we want to see more of this kind of stuff. People who know what they are doing and who are respected for their talents.

I could use a lot less of the reality-based bitch-fests and deadlines with a little bit of bike/car building thrown in for good measure like what is found in American Chopper & Hot Rod. I mean it is insulting to me that they see the success of Am. Chopper and think that BECAUSE of the bitching we watch, ugh. It is even worse that they think that they can use that formula on car building with the same success. Like we are so fuckin' thick we can't see through that. I used to kinda sorta think Boyd was an ass, now we all know he's all that and some. What a jerk off - and if his crew worked at any other place of business they'd be fired. What a bunch of dildos (with a few exceptions).

I must say that I actually like Am. Chop. but I am almost ready to start watching with the mute button firmly pressed. I like to see a project built from scratch no matter what the end goal is. Drama is for chicks....shut up and build.

Fuck the deadlines,
Fuck the bitch-fests,
fuck the "reality-based" BS,
and fuck the constantly growing list of weird builds.

Build a car (or bike) like a normal human being,
show people getting along (that actually happens you know),
and show us the details. We like to see EXACTLY how the masters work.

I know it can be done, for christ's sake we can watch people building homes and re-furbishing old furniture without all of this crap. And those shows were successful on stations with a lot less pull than the Discovery Channel.

Basically we all like this episode of Monster Gararge.
Not only that we all agree that this is probably the best show we've ever seen. I say there is a market for more of this. Give us more and give us more respect....

 

Both VCR's took a crap tonight so no tapeing for me.

Good show but they needed to make it a 5 part special. I wanted to see more details of the work.

Gene W is the man in my book.

They should give him his own show. They can just call it American Kustom.

They already have American everthing else so they should just go ahead and get it started now.

 

If they gave Gen his own show they should call it"The Real Deal" It does'nt get any more real than him or any of the others on that show tonight.

ps-whtf happened to Souther Chopper? I liked the old dude with the funny laugh.

 

I nearly shit myself when I heard 10 min before airing who was on.....hands down a TV highlight of my life

The BEST way to show that you'd like to see more of this type of show, even more than just E-mailing them, is to BUY the tape from them!!!!

Best team I've ever seen, got so much more done than most of the other scenester drama queens (sorry germ!).

 

That was awesome. The end result is too cool. I wished they had shown more on the stuff they did to the back of the car, like the taillights and quarters and they went right from the back window section being removed to it being back in place with out showing what they had to do to make it fit .It was still the best episode ever. I just wish my VCR would have rewound it with out eating the tape

 

I watched part of it last night had to go to work so I taped it. Just as soon as I got home put the tape in. Great show! For the most part I don't watch Monster Garage but if more are like this I will watch for sure.

 

It was awsome watching these legends at work. Especially Bill Hines working lead. My wife does damn good putting icing on a cake, maybe if I could teach her to handle a torch,....... nah!
First time I ever watched a full episode of Monster Garage. Watching Jesse James show awe and proper respect to these gods totally changed my opinion of Jesse. Now, maybe Rides will have a good show tonight.
