Wanted something to clean-up and streamline the front end a little, so a tube grill was decided on. With a little input from 40 Studedude (Roger) and some fab skills from my friend Cal1954 (Andy) This is what we came up with. Gary
Hey...that looks good...was wondering if you were going to get it done in time for the show... Lookin' very cool...thanx for the props...my pleasure to help out. R-
Looks good! Streamline? ...so, is it quicker now? Is it just me, or did you also lower the front of the car more? Andy is one hell of a fabricator! Malcolm
Thanks Roger, really appreciated your input. The chrome shop shot it right through. That was the only part I was worried about. Ha, Ha, yea we made the tubes out of solid 1/2" rod so it is reeeeaaaally heavy. I think the front end came down an inch after it was in place Andy is very good at what he does.
Dude, that's what my parent's van slam van has for a grill!!! Sweet! I love your wagon and as we all know it can (well 'maybe could' now) out run any other cars from Omaha, like say a Galaxie for example
so is there anyone else going to Omaha WOW next weekend? I will be there as usual - BUT I may be moved yet again.......not sure yet. I have been moved for the past 3 years so I guess I will get moved again this year - I hope to be closer to the traditional rods this year - we will see what happens........... Anyway - Hope ya'll come and see the show and stop by and see us - we have plenty of new stuff. Later John Wells
Thanks Mick, thats what I was looking for. With the stock grill , coming down the street it just looked like another chevy. Thanks doll, I haven't started to miss the roadster yet, but it's still pretty cold here. I know it's coming. Hopefully the 40 will fill that void soon. Oh so cold , Thank you...... he, he, he, I miss you guys!
you sold the roadster>????? this friggin cave has ****ty reception! dammit gary, you didnt even give me and shana a chance!!!
Oh, that's it... I'm gonna kick your ***! Well, like I've said before, we'll see which car gets more miles put on it this year!
Damn it. If I had known you had that kinda money to throw around we could've talked. I would probably have needed that a 12 pak and dinner at the restaurant......... ****
Denise: Thanks for affirming what I tryed to tell him for 2 years about the roadster. He's a slow learner. Quite frankly at my age I haven't got many years left to tutor him about how to build cool hotrods. I'll have to step back and watch. I think he's getting it right with the 40 but there was still no car like the roadster.
"Hot-rod Wagon" and "Hot-rod 40 Coupe" just don't have the same ring as "Hot-rod Roadster." The Wagon looks killer, I can't wait to see it in person. Dave
