ok, a 32 ford roadster is kinda like the poster child for hotrodding but personally i'm gettin' pretty burned out seein' em everywhere. it's like all these car builders on tv can only make '32 ford clones. (maybe a 33 once and awhile). i'd like to see something different for a change like some studes or buicks or caddys. is it just me ?
I'm real sick of the Boydsters! Whopdie shit! you changed grills for 1 2 and 3! And they call them new cars.... pft
buy a bone stock one and try to keep it that way ,there is a challenge, my buddie's place is gonna have a kruse auction, and i bet his goes for 6 figures, 1932 Ford Model 18 Deluxe Roadster Serial No. D1948C7. The 1932 V-8 Deluxe Roadster is a Dearborn National Champion. It is correct in all aspects. Its a car Ive owned for close to 15 years and scored in the high 900s out of a possible 1,000 points. It features all the options available in 1932, including the authentic 1932 radio and the quail radiator cap. It is one of the highest point 1932 Roadsters in the country.
Maybe it's not the car that is boring. Maybe it's just what people are doing with them that is boring. Most guys are afraid to do something different. There's a whole lot more model A's out there but people seem to do different things with them. I guess when you spend crazy money on the stuff it's harder to take a chance on doing something different. Clark
when i win the lotto im gonna buy me a 32 body and channel it like a motherfucker then on the back im gonna paint WATCH OUT MOTHERFUCKERS! and then use the bird shooters to shoot exhaust onto the windshields of fuckin SUV's and when some tailgaiten asshole is ridin me like a horny 15 year old on pam anderson im gonna use the flamethrowers (insprired by someone on the board) johnny

Check out the '32 Troy Trepanier built on the cover of Street Rod Builder. I know, I know, "goldchainer mag" all the way, but if you want to see something a little different, it's pretty cool IMO.
knowing him he would have a heart attack if you started wacking the car after you bought it hahaha bought a 32 from arkansas in 88,piad 34 thous for it and it is the sister car to that one, cept it gets driven,41 thousand miles on it,,stuff is crazy for them friend with his 32 ,runs a bunch of collectible shops, and last month a guy comes in with a NOS 32 ford drivers front fender, with the ford tag still on it , came from way up north he said, my buddy managed to give him 200 for it,nice guy that he was , the fender is worth 3 thousand , and has a couple of people that want it for that, but he says it is a good start on building one ,just needs a few more parts

I saw that roadster Troy "built" it really was cool.Lots of good ideas and different stuff.Like the curved rear spreader bar and curved gas tank. The heater turned speaker box was brillant.Big bucks I know. But at least it still loks like a 32,I hate when cars are all changed and don't look like what the started as. 100K for a perfect stocker?Sounds like a bargain when you think that "Project 36" (as seen on TV) had a build cost almost 5 times that! If I was a rich man I would buy it. I have been scrounging for 5 years to build mine.Started with crap and built it myself(with help)I have less then the cost of a Brookville body in the whole damn car! Everytime I walk into the garage....well it just makes me feel good.I do love 32 Fords! I have another really rough 32 roadster that will be put back together as a channelled car (it is now)with loud pipes and maybe a big IRON CROSS on the decklid!!
[ QUOTE ] everytime I walk into the garage...I wish someone would get that freakin boring car out of here! [/ QUOTE ]lets see more pics vaphead!!
couple tiems a year we take a bunch of old cars over to the vets home ,and all the old guys flock to the 32,it was the car that changed the way people lived, and functioned, as bad as the car is ,motor wise and so small ,never had one turn his nose at em,if you were there when they came out and got to have one to customize in the 40's you could buy one for 40 bucks, heard that once i heard it a thousand times the car it just matters,
[ QUOTE ] couple tiems a year we take a bunch of old cars over to the vets home ,and all the old guys flock to the 32 [/ QUOTE ] that's pretty cool that you guys do that. i bet that really lifts their spirits even it's for a little bit. i'm sure it takes them back to better days and whatnot. sometimes i get older men come up to me and talk old cars.

[/ QUOTE ] As long as we're on this subject...and I didn't start it...would several of you '32 lovers explain to me the attraction of a '32 Ford...roadster, coop or sedan? I grew up when these cars were the only true hot rod...couldn't understand then why everyone (except me) wanted one and still don't to this day. Give me a little more individuality any day of the week...I'll take a Studey ten times faster than I would a look-alike-I-got-one-just-like-he-does '32 Ford any day of the week...and twice on Sundays. Im pretty dang sick of primer and yet I still see a primered cars from time to time that causes me to stop and check them out...but I tend to really like cars in general
Roger,if I have to explain it,you wouldn't understand. But then again I can't understand anyones attraction to..say Mopar muscle cars,no Mopars at all.(just don't tell my Mopar parts customers) PS,I do have a Studebaker,a Champ six in a 27 Ford T modified !(the Ricky Lakester for you old time HAMB'ers) ME

R- [/ QUOTE ]32 was the first v-8 car...anything early ford pretty much bolts up if you know the right parts in a time when people didnt have acess to welders like we do now you could bolt in a late model hot merc flathead a 39 box and a 40 rear with out really too much mods then rip off the fenders and you had a light weight hotrod in 33 the cars started becomming heavier lighter yet was an A or T on 32 frame but that was more work than just modifying a 32 a 32 was still boxy like an A but much more refined ...they're just bitch'n i like all early fords but 32-34s are my favorites unless its a 1-800 car ..no two hot rods are alike each one ive had are completly differntive done something differnt with each chassis, light bar , stance , Ect. thats why not using catolog parts give your car soul!
I notice people feel better about the stuff they own by acting like 1932 Fords suck. It comes up all the time. How about you just be happy with what you have. can you imagine a post with a bunch of 32 owners saying how much model A's suck. Get comfortable with the size of your own penis and fucking move on. I like 34's best but I wouldnt trade for my 32.

[ QUOTE ] i'd like to see something different for a change like some studes or buicks or caddys. [/ QUOTE ] That is cool, man. We don't all have to agree... I like a very wide range of styles and brands of cars, including the Deuces ( specially the Coupes ). Some ( but not all ) of the '20s and '30s cars had really awkward proportions, but the '32 Fords just have great lines IMO... Unless somebody really fucks one up, they look great with or without fenders... And there are some '32s that are being built by HAMBers right now that will probably be anything but cookiecutter when they are done. I understand some people rather see a different make of car, and they should build what they like. And goes for the '32 owners too, It should not matter if a cerain car already happens to be popular...
[ QUOTE ] The Brookville body sits perfectly channeled atop the 32 frame rails. [/ QUOTE ] Huh? Nice looking car, though.
