I have been lurking here for about 2 years but I finally decided I had to jump in. Born and bred and been in South Austin all my life. I am going to retire in a few months and am going to get back to the things I like to do (hot rods & street rods & anything with an internal comb. engine). I have worked as a Ford mechanic, speed equipment sales and now a local government job. I have worked on drag cars, circle track cars, drag boats and motorcycles. As I have aged I have figured out that there are lots of things I don't know crap about (body work, paint, upholstery, etc.) but I am going to try to get back to the time when I thought I could do it all. I have seen some great threads on here and lately I just felt I have to throw in my 2 cents worth on some of these.
