I did a forum search but found nothing.

I am in the process of putting together plans for a traditional gasser with a '53 Chev. The last debate was resolved when I had a toss up between a 390 FE or 350 SBC. The SBC, an Olds, or a Hemi would have been more traditional but I decided to go with a 454 instead as it will withstand more horsepower and be far more reliable.
I also decided to go with a 8-71 GMC style blower as I want to build it as an A or B/GS, depending on how light I can get the '53.
My next choice is now carb or injection, most cars were injected but I'm looking for opinions. It will be a competition car but as they used to do it back in the early days... it *may* get driven on the street... just because I can probably get away with it. I was looking at the typical Hilborn blower style, but don't see it used a whole lot anymore.. so like I said, looking for opinions.
